Terms and Conditions of Use

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using Caixa do Japão's services, the client declares to have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, the client must immediately cease using our services.

 

2. GENERAL INFORMATION

Caixa do Japão is a company based in Japan, specializing in international shopping forwarding services, aiming to facilitate Brazilian clients' access to exclusive products from the Japanese market.

 

3. OUR SERVICES

We offer three main service modalities:

  • Shopping Forwarding
  • Personal Shopper
  • Shopping Channel (via Telegram or Instagram)

Additionally, we have an Online Store within our system, featuring exclusive, limited edition, and seasonal products. Items from stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, websites, and even custom orders, all original and directly from Japan.
The client is free to choose the service that best suits their needs.

 

4. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

4.1. Shopping Forwarding:

The client makes purchases directly from Japanese stores and sends the products to our address in Japan. Upon receipt, we forward the order to the address indicated by the client.

4.2. Personal Shopper:

Caixa do Japão makes the purchase on behalf of the client, as requested, prepares the merchandise, and sends it directly to the indicated address.

4.3. Shopping Group (Telegram) or Shopping Channel on Instagram:

We invite clients to participate in exclusive groups on Telegram or Instagram with access to selected products, often with discounts or limited editions.

4.4. Online Store:

We provide an internal store with exclusive, limited edition, and seasonal products. Items from stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, websites, and even custom orders, all original and directly from Japan.

Notes:

Each product is sold individually. Prices are fixed and not subject to negotiation.

 

5. REGISTRATION AND ORDER RECEIPT:

The client must ensure that the name and shipping address are correct on all orders.
Each received order is registered with 1 photo of the outer box and 1 photo of the internal contents (free service).
Orders unclaimed within 30 calendar days of receipt will be considered abandoned. In this case, Caixa do Japão may discard, donate, or dispose of the items as it deems appropriate, without the right to refund or compensation.

 

6. PAYMENT METHODS

We accept the following payment methods:

  • International credit card
  • PayPal
  • Wise

All payments are made in Brazilian Reals (BRL) or local currency. The client is responsible for any exchange rate variations at the time of conversion.

 

7. CUSTOMS DECLARATION AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The client is solely responsible for:
Correctly filling out the customs declaration in their account;
Providing a detailed product description (brand, model, quantity);
Declaring the real value (product + shipping + insurance), without undervaluation;
Providing the full name, CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer ID), and complete address of the recipient;
Paying all taxes, fees, and duties required in Brazil (especially the 60% import tax).
The responsibility for paying these fees, as well as for tracking, tracing, and shipping deadlines (30 days within the Brazilian postal service website), rests entirely with the client.

Caixa do Japão is not responsible for decisions made by the Brazilian Federal Revenue, retentions, taxation, or return of orders. Complaints must be made directly to the competent authorities (e.g., Portal ID Correios).

 

8. SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS

Upon shipping request, we prepare the order according to the information provided by the client. We are not responsible for errors in the address or recipient's details.
Delivery times vary depending on the carrier, route, and customs inspection.
We remove invoices, inserts, and advertisements free of charge, if requested at the time of shipment.
We do not guarantee the integrity of liquid, fragile, or perishable products, even with reinforced packaging. We recommend using bubble wrap (extra service).
We do not accept returns or exchanges after product purchase or order dispatch.
We are not responsible for delays caused by force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, etc.).
Food products must be shipped as quickly as possible, due to limited shelf life.

 

9. STORAGE

Free storage for 60 days after receipt.
After this period, a fee of R$10.00 per day will be charged, for up to 20 additional days.
Orders unclaimed after 80 days will be considered abandoned and may be discarded or donated, without refund.

 

10. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

No returns or exchanges after purchase or shipment.
If a product is unavailable through Personal Shopper, the amount will be kept as credit in the suite, valid for 90 days.

 

11. MANUFACTURING DEFECT

11.1. In case of a "manufacturing defect," meaning when equipment malfunctions are detected that, in principle, do not fall within the scope of the respective warranty, the User must return the equipment within a maximum of 30 consecutive days from the invoice date. The respective shipping costs will be their responsibility.

11.2. For the product exchange to be carried out, you must ensure that the packaging is complete (box, instruction manual, warranty certificate, terminal, and accessories) containing all its constituent components, in excellent condition.

11.3. In the absence of any of the elements mentioned above, or if any of the components are not in excellent condition, no exchange will take place, and the product will be discarded, without the right to a refund.

 

12. ORDER RETURNS (BRAZIL)

If the Brazilian Federal Revenue refuses the order, the client will be responsible for all return or re-shipping costs.


12. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The client undertakes to:

Verify the legality of the products they wish to import;
Not acquire prohibited, controlled, or illegal items (weapons, prescription drugs without a prescription, counterfeit products, etc.);
Respect copyrights, trademarks, and privacy;
Keep contact details updated;
Not use Caixa do Japão's address for purposes unrelated to the contracted service (misuse subject to fine and product forfeiture);
Assume full responsibility for the actions of third parties who use their account improperly.

 

13. ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE SHIPPED

Products that are prohibited from being shipped via mail in Japan:

  • Aerosol spray products, cans, carbonated (cans with foam), cans with gas
  • Lithium battery, mobile battery
  • Perfumes, nail polish
  • Electronic cigarettes
  • Fireworks/firecrackers

Considering international mail, dangerous goods cannot be sent via air. Please check before shipping if the item does not correspond to the list of dangerous goods below.

 

 

What are dangerous goods via air?

There are items that are detrimental to air flight safety operations and may pose a danger to aircraft facilities and the airport, as well as items that may be harmful to the health of clients, crew members, and airport staff; these items are called “Aviation Dangerous Goods.”

Examples of “Aviation Dangerous Goods”

For example, items that cannot be shipped.

 

 

14. CAIXA DO JAPÃO RESPONSIBILITIES

We act exclusively as a logistics intermediary: We receive, store, and forward orders.

We are not responsible for:

  • Client errors (address, declaration, exchange rate);
  • Customs fees or decisions by government agencies;
  • Damage during international transport;
  • Product availability in third-party stores.

We reserve the right to refuse to ship products that violate Japanese export laws, even if permitted in Brazil.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on the website.

16. PRIVACY POLICY

The information provided is used exclusively for:
Order management;
Shipping communication;
Personalized offers (with unsubscribe option).

We never sell, rent, or pass on your data to third parties.
Accounts suspected of fraud will be blocked. In this case, orders in Caixa do Japão's possession may be discarded.
